Characteristic Curves in Erodible Soils on a Slope in Cabo De Santo Agostinho/Brazil

Several studies focus on the characteristic curve of soil, which plays a fundamental role in mechanics unsaturated soils and is also an important indicator physical quality. Therefore, objective this research was to determine soil by methods Filter Paper, Richards Pressure Chamber, Haines Funnel erodible slope Metropolitan Region Recife, state Pernambuco, Brazil. The curves were designed models van Genuchten, Fredlund & Xing, Seki, Dunner. In suction x humidity ratios, during wetting drying processes, experimental points very close, making it difficult define hysteresis effect. Chamber allowed complementation for low values, indicating that techniques can be used simultaneously. statistical analysis resulted numerical model with significance value greater than 97%.
